ABOUT ME

Hello!
I'm Bruna Passos.

I've been an English teacher for over ten years. Having explored different areas in teaching, I couldn't help but grow passionate about what my job entails, which is—in short—helping learners thrive in their personal and professional goals.

I help upper-intermediate and advanced learners of English break through their learning plateaus and develop their language skills by delving into authentic materials and exploring language through a lexical lens.

LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND EXAM PREPARATION

For teachers and ambitious learners who want to sharpen their English, expand their vocabulary, and communicate with greater precision and confidence. Whether your goal is to overcome a learning plateau, refine your language for work, or prepare for a Cambridge exam, these lessons are tailored to your needs. In language development lessons, we work with meaningful, up-to-date topics through a lexical lens—spotting patterns and developing advanced structures. We also train your critical thinking, helping you engage with language and ideas more deeply. My approach is reactive, with constructive, respectful feedback that helps you notice and close learning gaps.

Exam preparation lessons follow the same dynamic approach, with a focus on developing the high-level skills the exam requires. We work with past papers, authentic materials, and practical strategies to build lasting proficiency and ensure you're ready to perform at your best.

Isabel Tomaselli

Taking classes with Bruna has been a real source of inspiration. Her well-structured, fluid lessons create a space for us to explore language critically and with curiosity, while also stepping back and rethinking our own assumptions about the topics she introduces.
Her methodology, along with her clear passion for language, has made a meaningful impact on my learning journey and on my work as a teacher. From her careful curation of authentic materials to the class documents we can refer back to, and from her attentive ear for emergent language to the tact she brings to every interaction, she turns theory into practice in a way that not only helps us learn but also reignites our love for the process of learning—and teaching—a second language.
